FIX for boot error "No bootable device -- Please restart system"


Resolution

This error can be caused by an incorrect setting in BIOS for boot mode. To resolve this issue
  1. From a cold start (complete shutdown)
  2. Press the power button and immediatly continually tap F2 key to open the BISO setup
  3. In BIOS go to the ADVANCED menu tab
  4. Select System Configuration
  5. Select Boot Mode
  6. For laptops running Windows 7  toggle and set the boot mode to CSM
  7. For laptops running Windows 8 and above toggle and set the boot mode to UEFI Boot
  8. In the SECURITY menu tab
  9. If the Secure Boot option is available set Secure boot to disabled
  10. Press F10 to and then YES to SAVE changes
* If this resolves your issue and if you are running Windows 8 and above you should go back into BIOS and enable Secure Boot for the best protection
